The Challenge: Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer
​Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer remains incurable and life-threatening, with cancer cells having spread beyond the breast to vital organs. Although research is delivering gentler, more effective therapies, fewer than one-third of patients survive past five years, and in the U.S. alone, an average of 115 lives are lost to metastatic breast cancer each day.

Every day ​115 lives are taken by Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC), in the US alone. 

THE ORIGIN OF OUR MOVEMENT

Cancer Culture began as a grassroots effort led by stage 4 cancer patients determined to shift the conversation and drive real progress. Frustrated by limited visibility and chronic underfunding for advanced-stage disease, these advocates united to champion rigorous, peer-reviewed research and amplify the voices of those whose experiences often go unheard. Today, MetGala SCV is proud to fuel their vision: every ticket sold, every auction bid placed, and every dollar raised on March 14 directly supports Cancer Culture’s studies, bringing us closer to turning metastatic cancer into a manageable, chronic condition. Together, we’re advancing breakthroughs, strengthening community, and lighting the path to a brighter future for all patients.
