Rena Callahan, MD

UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine
We are honored to welcome Rena Callahan, MD, as a featured speaker for MetGala SCV. Dr. Callahan serves as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Hematology Oncology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and practices in both Santa Monica and Santa Clarita.

Dr. Callahan is actively involved in breast cancer research and treatment and has held leadership roles in major clinical trials, including VIKTORIA-1 and LIDERA, where she served as UCLA Principal Investigator. She also delivered an educational session at the June 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting focused on the treatment of ER-positive metastatic breast cancer.
Board-certified in hematology and medical oncology, Dr. Callahan cares for patients with a wide range of malignancies and blood disorders. Her academic and clinical background includes a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, training at UCLA, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Yale University.  

We are grateful to have Dr. Callahan share her expertise and perspective as part of this meaningful evening supporting metastatic breast cancer research and awareness.
